About This Special Issue

The primary goal of this special issue is to enhance the safety assessment of existing buildings, enabling the effective utilization of inspection data and relevant parameters to minimize the likelihood of accidents. We invite contributions that explore innovative methodologies, advanced technologies, and comprehensive frameworks for evaluating the safety and performance of existing buildings, with particular interest in data-driven approaches, integration of digital twin technology, and risk assessment models.

Through this special issue, we aim to foster a deeper understanding of how cutting-edge methods and interdisciplinary approaches can revolutionize the safety assessment and maintenance of existing buildings. By promoting the effective use of inspection data and relevant parameters, this issue seeks to contribute to safer, more reliable existing buildings worldwide.
